Mount Kilimanjaro Climb on Machame is by far the most scenic albeit steeper route of all the Mount Kilimanjaro Climb routes. The Rongai is the easiest Mount Kilimanjaro Climb route and the Marangu is also easy, but accommodation is in huts. As a result, this Mount Kilimanjaro Climb route tends to be very busy and ascent and descent routes are the same. Mount Kilimanjaro Climb you will need a sleeping bag, warm clothes and walking poles. Mount Kilimanjaro Climb through Machame is a tough walking hike but within the limits of a fit individual used to walking in mountain areas. An extra day Mount Kilimanjaro Climb for acclimatization to the altitude is recommended at Horombo from where there are various walks to enjoy.
Day 1
Met upon arrival for Mount Kilimanjaro Climb at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (K.I.A) by our Mount Kilimanjaro Climb rep and transferred to Impala Hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight. In the evening you are briefed on tomorrow's Mount Kilimanjaro Climb.
Day 2
Mount Kilimanjaro Climb breakfast and transfer to Machame gate (2000m) for Mount Kilimanjaro Climb registration. The porters on Mount Kilimanjaro Climb will prepare and pack the supplies and your Mount Kilimanjaro Climb equipment for the hike. You will receive a lunch pack. Mount Kilimanjaro Climb through rain forest to the ridge between the Weru Weru stream and the Makoa until the trailhead on Mount Kilimanjaro Climb is reached. Lunch and a short rest on Mount Kilimanjaro Climb then continue through the narrow forest path which continues to Machame Huts (3000m) for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast, steep Mount Kilimanjaro Climb ascends through the grassy moorlands. After 3 - 4 hours the Mount Kilimanjaro Climb trail goes west into a gorge. A short break for lunch and a deserved rest and then ascend to Shira Hut (3800m) on the Shira Plateau. Dinner and overnight at the Shira hut.
Day 4
Mount Kilimanjaro Climb proceeds to Kibo Peak, then turn southwards just before your Mount Kilimanjaro Climb reaches the Lava outcrop beyond which the Lava tower Hut is located. Crossing several ridges and valleys, to arrive at the lip of the great Barranco. Lunch and a short rest on Mount Kilimanjaro Climb will be organized half way. Dinner and overnight at the Barranco Hut at (3900m).
Day 5
Mount Kilimanjaro Climb descends into the Gorge then climb its vertical Eastern wall, walk beneath Kibo's Southern ice field. Lunch and a short rest and then continue Mount Kilimanjaro Climb descending into the shallow Karanga valley (last water) crossing Lava ridge to the Barafu Hut at (4600m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
After midnight, Mount Kilimanjaro Climbascend through boulder-strewn ridge and a gap between the Rebmann and Ratzel Claciers to arrive at the rim, near Stella point about midway between Gilman's point and Uhuru. Your Mount Kilimanjaro Climb proceeds to Uhuru Peak at (5895m). After your summit photo, your Mount Kilimanjaro Climb descends to Mweka Hut (3000m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
After breakfast, the final leg of Mount Kilimanjaro Climb takes about 2 hours starts heading for Mweka gate (1500m). Transfer to Impala Hotel Arusha dinner and overnight.
Day 8
End Mount Kilimanjaro Climb with a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight or by shuttle to Nairobi , or to your next safari destination.
